Simple Biscuits

These gluten free biscuits are really simple and quick to make, they are light and crunchy and fly off the plate.


4oz Butter

2oz Sugar

6oz Plain gluten free flour

Egg white

Icing sugar

Food colouring


  1. Cream the butter and sugar together.
  2. Add the flour and form into a dough.
  3. Roll the dough out until 1/2cm thick, and cut out using cutters. It helps to use lots of flour to avoid the dough from sticking to the work surface.
  4. Bake for around 10 minutes until golden brown.

For the icing, whisk an egg white and add a tablespoon of icing sugar at a time until thick. Add drops of food colouring and swirl through with a cocktail stick to create a marble affect. Dip the biscuits to coat with icing.
